“Anywhere but here”
My soul screams
To a world of darkness.
The weight of
Spiritual Death
Strangling
What life remains.
“Anywhere but here”
I beg on my knees
For days, months, years-
To a cruel God
For Sanctuary
From a place
Worse Than Hell.
“Anywhere but Here”
He cries while I issue
His death sentence.
No more faith
In my soul lives
Believing that God
Forgives.
“Anywhere but here”
I scream to the heavens
Only to be
Continually ignored.
My allegiance now sworn
To the ruler
Of death and scorn.
Now that's a happy little piece.
ReplyDeleteA really good piece highlighting the emptyness and lack of trust in an unresponsive God relating to ones loneliness and lack of choice.
