Not with my sentiments
Toward an uncaring
King of Heaven,
Toward a God
That no longer loves,
And no longer lives.
Today, Legacy ends
Awash in grief
While holding my friend
As he falls asleep.
For hours I beg
For Forgiveness
I will never have.
I begged today
For his safe passage
To a world beyond
That doesn’t exist.
No, I wasn’t fooling anyone-
Because in my mind,
God no longer lives.
I really like this piece , just so powerful and so full of dispair and the disappointment of a drained and empty soul almost without hope ?
